I am going to be more homer this upcoming season than I have been in a long time.......I can already tell.

Last year I didn't really think we were going to be as good as I was saying we were gonna be. This year I seriously think we are going to be really good..........so I'm going to be harping the National Champz thing a lot.

nice early recognition, but I want to see it on the field in the fall.

I think if T-Mart can get his completion rate up to 70% and limits turnovers, he could be close no matter what our record. He has the highlight reel runs, just needs to not make stupid mistakes and more good throws hitting WRs in stride.

The reason I say that is because of how bad our defense could possibly be. If they don't step up T-mart is going to have to put up huge numbers for us to win.

Martinez was 62% completion last year, I think I heard high 50s over 15 yards. He's fine there but 12 interceptions killed us. Not saying it was just him. The team was unable to keep the ball
Nebraska ranked 105 with a -.86 turnover margin and 35 turnovers.

Fix this problem and we would have been in a bcs bowl at the least last year even with our anemic defense.

The problem is though Pelini teams seem to get worse with this when they improve in other areas. Hopefully with more contact in practice this year we will see improvement.

edit: I won't worry about Heisman, all he can do is play the game and the Heisman is a sham anyway. It's a trophy that goes to the best skill player on the best team that year.

Same things we trusted to be fixed following the 2010 and 2011 seasons. They will win the typical 9-10 games to remain a step above mediocre, but until they fix what has become an unflattering identity they will not win conference or national championships.
