Marshawn Lynch quote to Deion. Now, I get why he did not want to talk.

Well, as far as football goes, he's right, isn't he? On the other hand, he may not be cut out for a career in sales, law or politics, for example.

Hmnn. Didn`t really expect that reaction from a couple posters.. When you get chance can you give me the dimensions of the pedestal you built for yourself? Just curious how high it is. Don`t forget this is just a football game and the participents are actually human beings just like us.

A lot of Politicians maybe idiots and slimeballs, but they all have one thing in common.

The gift of gab.

Lynch does not, apparently and that's ok. He's a football player.

Not sure about that. How many times did George W. Bush stick his foot in his mouth? Or Joe Biden? Even President Obama is lost without his teleprompter.

Still, they had to actually speak.

Lynch simply stood there and stared back at the media for about 50 minutes. He probably would have been better off taking the fines as a no show. He showed up to avoid fines and to not have it become a distraction, but in the process created an even bigger story than not showing up would have.

Not sure which posters this is directed at, but I didn't mean to belittle Lynch. He is obviously an outstanding RB. When I wrote that he might not be cut out for certain careers, I was simply being a little flippant in noting that, while talking has nothing to do with winning in football, in some jobs "winning" seems to have quite a bit to do with what one says.

Sorry, but that is some poor English. I was having fun at a player for the other team's expense. I don't think it was that out of line, but if some people do then so be it. Not a big deal, just having a laugh. Lighten up a bit randymon.

BTW, there's not enough marble in the world for my pedestal. Maybe we could just carve my likeness out of a mountain, ala Mt. Rushmore. We could call it, "Mt. Hutchmore".

:laugh3:

Yeah I should of been more specific. Not any posters here ( great group imo) but on many other general boards, etc football related. Posts here are way tame compared to many others. Just was floored by how his ( lynchs) lack of verbal expertise if you will, drew out so much hate and vulgar animosity at the dude. Just figured some of you saw/read that and might of had opinion on that also. My apologies if post was mis-interpreted here. I will say though I sure would love to see a couple nice "sticks" for losses and maybe a forced fumble to boot by the Denver D on Mr. Lynch during game for sure!!

Seems a bit out of line to attack Lynch because he doesn't care to talk to the media much he might have developed a fear of speaking in public etc, he is a nice enough guy does a lot of charity work along with his cousin NFL QB Josh Johnson.

Also he has a degree from Berkeley so may well be smarter than most of us.

Where did Marshawn Lynch graduate from? - Evi

Lynch used to talk to the media more but he did get a DUI this past off season then he started being much more quite, of course the DUI is not acceptable but I hope he'll learn from it and atone for the mistake. He's fortunate not have hurt or killed anyone being careless.

If it makes you feel better I make jokes about many of the eloquent athletes. They either vomit cliches or they struggle to form a single sentence of proper English. I really think the media is to blame for a lot of it. Celebrities are always asked to comment on something and they probably get bored and just start phoning in interviews.

Not impressed by most athletes degrees. If you are playing a sport for them on academic scholarship, the school is going to find a way to help you academically. It seems like many fans are willing to just accept it just like we accept the poor kid from Compton driving a caddy in college. You know that is totally legit.

Seahawk fans need to stop being so defensive of their players. You guys just won the SB, in very convincing fashion. You are young and could be starting a dynasty. Things are good.
