If a team is down two men in OT, don't they go to a 5-on-3 situation?

they are supposed to. looks like someone extra just jumped on the ice?
I'm not really paying attention.

are you saying it was a 5 on 3 and then one penalty ended? b/c that would be a legitimate 5 on 4, but the announcers seemed to be getting pretty antsy about it.

Through the first four shooters, it's pretty clear why these guys are playing in the AHL.

Jerry D'Amigo ends it, Marlies win.

Shootout time...

I'm beginning to see why these shooters are in the AHL.
took 10 guys to bury one. (D'Amigo for the Marlies)

i figured he broke a knuckle after a kangeroo jumped him while he was cleaning out his fridge

hows this for a trick shoulder

The prognosis is less clear for Alex Bolduc, who separated the same shoulder for the third time in the past two seasons. It's the shoulder he had major surgery on following a fight with John Scott.

Assistant head coach Rick Bowness said Bolduc will have to undergo 3-4 weeks of rehab first. But that's before Bolduc has had a full medical examination which won't happen until he gets back to Vancouver.

Bolduc said the shoulder "popped out" untouched during a faceoff Friday against Washington.

"It popped in and out," Bolduc said. "I don't know, we'll see what the doc has to say.

"It was a weird angle. I was reaching for it and he was reaching the other way and pulled it out of the socket and put it back in. It's pretty similar to the last one, maybe not as bad."

The first time it happened to him was in L.A. back in October 2009. He found then he had torn his labrum in a few spots and learned surgery was inevitable. That surgery didn't occur until he lost a fight to Scott, a 6-foot-8 heavyweight.

After the surgery, he was confident the shoulder wouldn't be a problem again

That makes me shudder just thinking about it. Weird that it happened untouched on a face off.

I suffered a collapsed lung once in high school, I was skating up the left boards and I gunned a wrister in from the blue line and suddenly I had searing pain in my chest and couldn't breath. I finished up the game and figured it was a fluke and would "take care of itself".

The next day it was just as bad and I could feel something "flapping around" in my lungs every time I took a breath, so we went in and had it X-rayed.

I like to think I would have been the next Brendan Shanahan had it not been for my injury prone nature. :D

Also, fuck the Marlies, they knocked us out of the playoffs last year. It's bad enough Grand Rapids has to consistently be Manitoba's bitch, but Toronto too?

Also, how big is Toronto's arena? 6000 doesn't seem like a lot for a hockey game in Toronto... then again, they are a "big league town" from what I've heard (if it's not played at the highest level, they don't give a fuck about it).
