LOL - This girl was jumping up and down b/c she had a chance at a showcase with a trip to Costa Rica, new computer, sweet camera, and an 11-day trip through Europe. She passed...

The next showcase had a car, but you should have seen her disappointment when the first 3 prizes were Winter Classic t-shirts/jerseys, a trip to Pittsburgh, and Bridgestone tires. She gave the half-hearted clap and looked like "I can't believe I gave up a trip to Munich to go to Pittsburgh."

Btw, Crosby and Ovechkin just had pre-recorded video messages that were both terrible. Roenick was actually on the show and got to say "a new car!" He looked like he enjoyed it.

I heard it was horrible. Lookin forward to Wednesdays 24/7.

I've never known TPIR to announce a showcase, or any prize for that matter, in advance. Doesn't that kind of make it easy for anyone attending that show to come up with a ballpark price in advance should they be lucky enough to make it that far?

good point. however, on something like this, how the hell would you guess anyway?

2 tickets to the Winter classic:
row 100: $200
row 1: $10,000 (or whatever it is)

It does bring a smile to my face that one showcase features Costa Rica and a 11 day European trip while the other showcase highlights a trip to exotic Pittsburgh.

/Before anybody gets their panties in a bunch, I'm sure if you substituted Calgary for Pittsburgh above, you'd probably get a similar reaction.

Maybe not. The people on that show may think Calgary is a country in Asia.

Well it is over the river from Buffalo. Still not as bad as Oil can Boyd after a game was canceled in Cleveland be cause of bad weather saying "That's what they get for building a stadium next to the ocean" :L

Double over???? Sounds like part of Bettman's conspiracy to me!

And yeah I haven't see the show since many years before Drew took over. He is looking very skinny compared to how I last remember him. I like his beauties better than Barkers too.

And the bidding? Ughhh! The last person should always be bidding either exactly $1 or $1 higher than someone else. I never get that part either. Its unlikely they are going to get it exactly right to win the extra $100 so it makes no sense to do anything else.

I think the programmers should have set Crosby's interface to "animated" since it was a prize package. Oh well, back home for him to get re-oiled and hang out with his best friend...
