Dec 20th - The Price is Right features Sid, OV, and Jeremy Roenick.

Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin and former NHLer Jeremy Roenick are guests on the Monday, Dec. 20 edition of THE PRICE IS RIGHT (11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT) on the CBS Television Network. The trio will introduce an NHL-themed showcase that includes a trip to Pittsburgh for the highly anticipated 2011 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic®, played outdoors at Heinz Field on New Year’s Day.

Host Drew Carey, Roenick, Crosby and Ovechkin will unveil the showcase that features tickets to watch the Penguins play against the Capitals in the historic outdoor game; VIP passes to the NHL’s New Year’s Eve Bash; field/ice-level access during the Capitals and Penguins team practices at Heinz Field on Friday, Dec. 31; and a brand new 2011 Honda CR-Z Sport Hybrid car.

I've never known TPIR to announce a showcase, or any prize for that matter, in advance. Doesn't that kind of make it easy for anyone attending that show to come up with a ballpark price in advance should they be lucky enough to make it that far?

I've seen Sid up close and personal in street clothes. He does have the ass and thighs of a curvy woman (then again so do most hockey players). Damn thigh muscles......

I just happened to be home today and flipped on the TV and it was already on the Price is Right. I haven't watched this show in years, so I'm going to check out this Crosby/Ovechkin thing today and report back.

Also, it never ceases to amaze me how dumb people are on this show. Bid order... 1400, 1300 (good lord), 400, 500 (what? why not 401?!?!)

LOL - This girl was jumping up and down b/c she had a chance at a showcase with a trip to Costa Rica, new computer, sweet camera, and an 11-day trip through Europe. She passed...

The next showcase had a car, but you should have seen her disappointment when the first 3 prizes were Winter Classic t-shirts/jerseys, a trip to Pittsburgh, and Bridgestone tires. She gave the half-hearted clap and looked like "I can't believe I gave up a trip to Munich to go to Pittsburgh."

Btw, Crosby and Ovechkin just had pre-recorded video messages that were both terrible. Roenick was actually on the show and got to say "a new car!" He looked like he enjoyed it.
