Seager, Miller, and Zunino get the day off. Ackley gets moved up the lineup to bat fifth, Willie gets to bat second, and Nick is inserted in at SS.

Cano is bound for a big game. Let's win this and kick off a good 4/20 fellas

You know who never needs a day off? A lead off man with a .282 OBP

Hart is swinging the bat well. Ackley just missed a hr but moves the runner over. I like him hitting here at 5th or at 6th when we reinsert Seager

I rather he hit 1 or 2 so that someone can actually be on in front of Cano and Hart.

That works for me too. Anything but 8th where he only gets 3 abs a game

I'd swap Almonte and Ackley. Anything is better than a lead off guy with .282 OBP!

Yea almonte has seen 4 pitches in 2 abs. This leadoff experiment needs to end.

Definitely the best I have ever seen out of Maurer so far

Maurer looking pretty good so far. He was never as bad as Noesi or anything but I still didn't have a lot of faith in him going into this game.

The Mariners are playing small ball and manufacturing runs. This I like!

Ackley has had two great abs so far. I really like him up in the order

Wow Maurer just made Stanton look foolish at the plate!

It's kind of funny, all those years I think Ichiro would have been better hitting 3rd for us. Ichiro had a career .366 OBP for us, but rarely ever took a walk. Probably could have been an RBI machine if we would've had him hit 3rd.

I've thought that as well. Also someone please tell me why they pulled Maurer after 4.1 innings, he only had 63 pitches.

They're slowly stretching him out to his regular/normal pitch count. Plus it looked like he no longer had his control after giving up that infield hit

Hasn't built his arm up yet. Last start only through 50 pitches

Anyone mind explaining to me why Lloyd McClendon would send Robinson Cano on a stolen base attempt?

I think Maurer had a 70 pitch limit. He isn't stretched out yet. Was hurt most of spring training
