But, but, but we have all that veteran presence.

ahh yes and one of those veterans just either forgot the out total or read a ball completely wrong. Quality stuff

pretty nasty from Diaz there. Not sure many guys would have done anything off him today

I just listened to it on the radio, but does anyone know why Leake was pulled with 78 pitches, did he look tired? This was the first game I've listened to that Rizz all but called out Servais on air.

He was starting to give up hits and was throwing more pitches towards the end. The hits weren't hard, they were just finding holes and our defense didn't help...shocker!

Nicasio needs to be DFA'd

Yeah I don't understand why he continues to be one of the high pressure late inning guys. I would prefer Bradford or Vincent over him. Not that those guys are elite or anything, but how many times is it gonna take for Nicasio to blow it for the front office to go "hmmm I guess he really does suck."

It sure would have been nice if the one move the M's made in the offseason had actually been an improvement.

Good win... Pitching has been strong of late... Need the bats to heat up a lot... Outside of Healy/Gordon, the offense is in a slump...

Never been much of a Seager fan... Always felt he was overrated... With that said, I wish for him to be traded...

It's starting to look like if we are to make a move we really should start focusing on another bat. We can always use pitching, but the bats have been stagnant for a long time. Getting Cano and another bat in trade would be huge in our pursuit of a wildcard spot.

Still time for a bat but trading for a pitcher seems to be fading fast.

That's what it sounded like from Rizz, but was it bad enough to pull him? If he was only at 78, to me, you let him go. He is your one guy you don't have to worry about innings and sure as hell shouldn't turn to Nicassio...but I don't want him in anything other than mop up time.

I actually didn't have a problem with him being pulled. He was real hittable that and the previous inning. He had 2nd and 3rd with 1 out the previous then struck out the next two batters for his first two K's of the game. I think it mentally drained him and he looked like he was done. I would never go to Nicasio, but that is what we will see from here out in the 7th. It worked in the end...somehow.

Like I said I didn't see it, just curious if anyone else was irked the way Rizz seemed by it. But I seriously cannot fathom that Nicassio is penciled in in any role. Sure he is a big chunk of payroll but they also have a postseason to strive for, which Nicassio hasn't exactly established that he is a guy who can be counted on.

When it is the one GM signing in the off season, he has a role. Mariner baseball.
