True, but Paxton has been alot like Randy except post injury then to start this year off when he forgot he is a power pitcher. I've never understood his saying that, how do you forget you throw 100?

I've never thought of Paxton being Randy with or w/o injuries. I really see Paxton as Bedard and not just because of the injury history. Randy was just so dominating on every pitch from 1-130. I just can't go there with Paxton.

Well of course he isn't Randy yet, I just more of saying is he starting to get into that category. Randy was wildly inconsistent too when he began. Not saying Paxton is Randy or that level just wondering if anyone else is starting to think he is a must watch start.

I just don't. Felix was 5 thru 10 years ago, but Paxton doesn't do it for me as a must watch. In all honesty, I actually fast forwarded through his first 4 innings just watching when the offense was up. I didn't even realize he had a no-hitter until he finished the 7th. He just doesn't dazzle me like Randy or a young Felix and remember he is 29 so not sure how close he will come. It is probably just me, but no to must watch.

How can Ichiro be in the dugout and wear a uniform? I thought MLB had rules about that? Odd.

Well that about makes up for all the times we have to put up with Jays fans taking over Safeco; Just no hit them in their native land with one of their own.

I guess to each his own. I was the way with Felix the way you are with Paxton. I fast forwarded his perfect game until I thought it was a no-hitter. But Felix it was almost always a 1-0 loss or a ND. It just grew frustrating that he could've been a 25 game winner with just a below average offense.

I could care less about the MLB rules but what struck me the most is the fact that he’s in full uniform and batting gloves. There’s no doubt he loves baseball and still thinks he’s one of the players, but there is a real denial with this. My hope is he accepts it sooner than later. I guess in the meantime, he can do whatever he wants.

• Among all teams, Seattle's four no-hitters since 2012 are tied with the Giants for the most during that time.

Pretty nice to see us at the top of a stat like this. Among a stretch of abysmal seasons, at least we've had some diamonds in the rough to watch.

Thinking back to this, didn't we pick up that unknown dude who tossed a no no for SF a couple years ago? What ever happened to him?

Damn of course one of the few times I had a later work meeting. Was able to listen to Rizzs the last couple of innings in traffic. Very happy for Pax doing that in Toronto. I know that meant a lot to him. His next few projected starts are against the Tigers (twice), the A's and Rangers so theres a chance for him to keep rolling for a few more starts.

Would be sweet justice this year if he rode an 17-to-20 win season with a 4.20ish ERA/1.30 WHIP.

I'm not sure if that is a true definition of irony but I'm going to use it there

Was curious so I looked it up. First Mariner to throw a CG Shutout under 100 pitches since Felix in 2006. Moyer also had one that year
