A little help from Houston later today would be nice, and Texas has the day off, so there's a chance to grab half a game in the West tonight too.
Yep, and as long as we win it'll be 6 behind Texas with a max of 2 out for both WC spots. We have a lot to gain in the next couple of weeks, shoot we could be in a playoff spot by the weekend. I love it how the east is our biggest roadblock and they have to beat each other up for playoff spots. Can't be giving up games like Tuesday, but as long as we keep winning series we'll be ok.
I'm not too concerned with the Yankees, which probably means we should be worried about the Yankees. Lol!Yeah... I didn't put the Yankees into the mix but all the teams in the East still have 6-7 games remaining with the Yankees as well...
Well... Houston isn't helping so far. The O's are pounding them 7-2 thru 4 innings.
Unfortunately Baltimore plays very well at home and Houston not so much on the road, so the Astros probably won't be much help for the M's in this series.
That hurts
M's have played about as well as humanly possible since the AS break.
Unrealistic to expect an extremely non-streaky team (even when we were doing well in the early season) to have many long winning streaks...at least, enough to compensate for a completely disastrous June.
5 over .500 would be a great result for this team. Anything else is bonus.
