Nobody claimed Martin. He's in AAA. Gamel is hitting something like .220 over the last month.

Gamel, since July 1st
179 at bats
17 runs scored
12 RBI
.212 batting average.

Haniger, since June 11th
161 at bats
19 runs scored

.199 batting average.

This team is so damn undisciplined they shouldn't even be on the field. Fire the damn manager!! I beg you
Servais, IMO, is probably safe through the end of next season. He is safe this year for one massive reason: injuries. I'm not endorsing his capability as manager, I'm just saying that injuries will be Dipoto's excuse for keeping him.

But, as we approach the trade deadline next year, if the team continues to flirt with .500 as they have over the first 290 games of Servais' tenure, we might see a massive selloff.

Nellie would be the first to go and barring a huge drop off in production or major injury, he should be easy to move and bring back a decent return.

Cano could go too. I think the Mariners knew all along that at some point they would have to eat a lot of Cano's contract if they wanted to move him and next year just might be the year.

Seager could be moved too. He'll be owed $57.5 million through 2021 and eating 20% of that would make him fairly easy to dump. When they re-signed him to a 7year/$100 mill deal in the winter of 2014, he was coming off of a gold glove and an all star selection. He was only 26 years old. I'm sure at the time they thought his production had not peaked yet. But 2 of the 3 seasons that have transpired since getting the big contract have not been as good as his 2014 season. Oops.

Felix, unless he finds the fountain of youth, has an untradeable contract. He's owed $54.7 million for 2018/2019. In the unlikely scenario that he did return somewhat close to the pitcher he was from 2009-2015, they may be able to move him if they ate about 25-30% of his remaining contract. But that is a long shot.

But any combination of Cano, Cruz, Seager, and Hernandez being gone should, come with it, a changing of the guard at the managerial level.

I saw the first inning stats on my phone app before leaving for work...

If the Seattle Mariners are truly Major League professionals, then I'm watching a fucking MEDICAL DRAMA whenever I turn on DOCTOR WHO!

It's not just Servais that needs to go. Shit-can 'em all! Complete overhaul! And SOMEONE get some answers from the new owners; find out once and for all what their Master Plan is supposed to be!

Mariners I don't think have ever had a master plan ... It's been the worst run franchise in pro sports for decades PERIOD!

Sportscenter's headline last night was, "You can't spell Mariner's with an E"... Embarrassing...

The last two times the Seahawks went 4-0 in the preseason, they went to the superbowl. Just sayin, man. Just sayin.

Yikes.

I knew Gamel was around that batting average, and expected Haniger would be around .230 or so. Didn't know it was sub-Mendoza level. That's why I made that thread about Gamel a while back. His BABIP was through the roof. I know a lot of people don't buy into the "luck" thing, but Gamel was just getting lucky with where his balls were landing.

Yet Heredia is still the odd man out and Martin was DFAd

That's what they want you to think. All it takes is for someone to blab something by accident, as we learned from another sport.

Here's hoping I'm wrong.
