Will be interesting to see how we play against a LHP tomorrow. Announcers were commenting on that one quite a bit.

And Seager sorry lol. Will get it right from now on.

Nice win. I liked the way they hit guys hard late in the game. It shows the ability to adjust which is something this team has seemed to lack for a long time. That Smoak HR was absolutely crushed, but I'd still like to see Seager at 4 and Smoak at 5. I'd also like to see Morrison less in general. That trade still just baffles me if they weren't planning on getting rid of Smoak.

Also, Ackley hitting .593 with 30 RBI career with the bases loaded then screams a bases clearing triple? I was surprised to see those kinds of numbers for him.

With the exception of Logan Morrison, I was impressed by this game. I'll sell my soul for a team that can score runs consistently.

I think LoMo could come around, just like Hart. The question is can they both stay healthy.

What can this team do against Lefties is the major question mark. We may have gotten to a team with a bad bullpen, but we probably lose the next two and every other team will do what they can to throw as many lefties at us as possible.

re: Ackley misjudging the ball. I think Hamilton also misjudged a ball in that same location, although different trajectories, but curious if there are some nice shiny new lights causing issues there.

LOVE opening day!!! Brand new start to a brand new season! Enjoyed the game with some good companies.

Although many of us probably did think "here we go again" the first 5-6 innings with no run support for The King. Heck of a win!! :suds:

I'd sell my soul to see this team in the World Series! It's been a long hard road for many of us m's fans

Nice to see Ackley and Smoak looking like major league hitters. Also good to see Wilhelmsen get the job done in a tight situation.

Yah, that's the problem with King Felix lol. Opening day Mariners fans are usually like, "WOOHOO ALRIGHT!" and with Iwakuma on day 2 it's like, "YEEES!" but Felix is just so good.

11 strikeouts through 6 innings? LOL, and Trout's HR was not what I call lucky... but Felix didn't serve him anything... sometimes sweeping those balls out of the strike zone for HRs can be a LITTLE luck.

If he is, it didn't improve his speed in calling balls and strikes. He and McClelland seem to be in slow motion while everybody else moves at regular speed.

Good win. Nice to see the offense help Felix out for once.

Can't expect to score 10 runs every game but it was nice to see everyone in the lineup be productive. Saunders and Morrison the only ones without hits but they were productive.

Lets see how this lefty heavy lineup can handle a lefty today.

Did LoMo run a stop sign or did our 3rd base coach wave him in?
