Well then yes I’m in on that. But that’s kind of the problem with them not doing any moves as of right now. Outside of signing Sasaki, any move they make is going to look like they have made the team weaker. Just feelings no facts IMO Rojas> Kim. But if it is followed up by moves like how you laid out then yeah.Arraez at 1B, Korean player at 2B, Raley in OF, Arozarena traded for 3B. I'm bored, sorry.
Dang, you made my early season idea better. Never thought about trading Randy.Trade:
Castillo ($24.5M)
Arozarena ($11.5M)
For
Mayo ($800K)
Mountcastle ($6M)
Kjerstad ($800K)
$36M going out, $7.6M coming back. $28.4M savings.
Can Rojas actually be better than...anyone? I would it would at least be a wash. No clue since it is impossible to judge Korean hitters. My biggest worry is Flexon was a stud there, so...Well then yes I’m in on that. But that’s kind of the problem with them not doing any moves as of right now. By this time last year they had already done their moves of making the team worse and started making the moves we thought would at least improve the offense.
Ya I'm not the best at guessing trades. I was thinking they might insist on keeping Kjerstad and throwing in Mullins instead because of age and pay. He is $8M and they might not want to take on all that extra payroll.Dang, you made my early season idea better. Never thought about trading Randy.
Only tweak I would make is I’d think the M’s would have to toss in a prospect so Locklear or Williamson or heck getting Kjerstad in a way gives the ability to trade Raley since they kind of project as the same player
If that’s the case then I don’t think they’d have to toss in a prospect. But Baltimore is weird, their new owner/ownership group is supposedly loaded but the GM or whatever came out and had a Jerry type presser where he said basically he doesn’t want to spend a bunch of money because then it jeopardizes his job if they don’t win.Ya I'm not the best at guessing trades. I've said for years on here mediocrity is a GM's best friend in certain markets like Seattle and apparently Baltimore. If that’s the case then I don’t think they’d have to toss in a prospect. Sure. But it’s really weird all of a sudden GM’s are being brazen about mediocrity being good for them. It’s just a given if your wife comes home with an ugly haircut you are suppose to say it looks goodI've said for years on here mediocrity is a GM's best friend in certain markets like Seattle and apparently Baltimore.
