Jerry said plan Z was to trade from the staff, well what letter is signing a slap hitter who can’t move and resigning a guy they thought so little of that they wouldn’t pick up his option. I’m not necessarily a fan of Kim but it seems like a one year gamble on him is better than a one year gamble on Polanco.

But I’d much rather have Polanco playing any where in the field over Solano.
So it was to expensive to pick up.
His option...
And they want to see ..a physical.
Sounds good..

I always thought.polanco was better.
Than we saw..last year.

Heard a good theory this morning. With Polanco at 3B, if they trade for Lowe from the Rays and put him at 2B. At least on paper (not counting injuries) that offense while nowhere was we want should be a bandaid for this season. While I’d hate it is a massive upgrade over Moore and Bliss or Young and Williamson. While I don’t mind, it also sets up for a real crappy 25-26 off-season cause Young and Williamson will be ready and Garver and Haniger’s money will already be spent on arbitration for the Kirby, Gilbert and Cal.

It really sucks but getting Lowe for 2B this season then possibly 3B for next season completely lines up contracts for the way Jerry talks about draft, develop and trade.

Looks like we will be a 78-to-88 win team for the next the next three years if not longer. A 60-win offense, an 80 win bullpen, and a 105 win rotation.

Former Seattle Mariners outfielder Michael Saunders is back with the organization, according to a report from Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710.
A former Mariners fan favorite will also be making the trip to Peoria as the organization has hired Michael Saunders as minor league baserunning coordinator. He fills the spot vacated by Eric Young Jr., who has been promoted to Seattle’s big league staff as first base coach. Saunders, a native of nearby Victoria, British Columbia, had previously been working in the Braves organization.

Interesting. Not great, but interesting. WE need to bridge the gap to the next reimaging. A Jerry blueprint to keeping his job.

The sign .polanco ..
Is consistent...with what..they.
Are doing.

And what they...have been.doing.
So .it's about .right ...

I like it. And. At.this late time..
What else was..there..

And we would like to see.polanco..
Be the.good player he once was..

And haniger .the same ..

I don't like taking.a.chance..on.both..
But there it is..

So polanco..is covered by..Locklear.
Shenton..
So it's alright...
Think..of..the12.spot..

With..either..shenton.locklear.
Or masterbani..in it..or williamson

that's what this org does. "fixes" gunshot wounds with bandaids, professing that "next season" and "next season" and "next season" we'll finally get a competent surgeon to truly fix the wound.

Lowe has played a total of 1 complete season in his 6-year big league career. Since 2022, he hasn't even averaged 100 games per season. the word "massive" has no application here, even when it comes to the pathetic M's. Polanco is dead weight, and there is no argument to be had against it.

That was already their stated goal. Which I just don’t get why they don’t just offer Alonso and Bregman like $30 million for 1 year. Yeah it blows out the payroll for this year, like truly what is the downside. If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. But that offense gets them in the playoffs which means they still profit

Yeah the bandaid thing is frustrating. Everyone and their mother knows they will trade Gilbert or Kirby or maybe both. So just go for it the next two years. The past two offseasons totally make sense had they not committed so much money to Castillo and Julio. But they did and not going for it is kind of just pissing that money away IMO.
