NIL. The mid major can’t stay together for 4 years anymore because anyone who is good is going to get bought through NIL.
This was the point I was making earlier.

Is this the only sport/tournament where people actively root against having the best vs the best?
Juju went down with a knee injury and was carried off the court. That will truly suck if it's something serious.
No report on it yet.
I feel for the young lady. Damn, that sucks. My heart goes out to her.Fuck man
Ugh tell me about it, borderline sickening sometimes.I get that they're kids but the older I get the less I can tolerate the terrible play lol
It’s a bad tournament because for the last 6-7 years the quality of play has been poor. Feels like 38% is some “hot shooting.”
Kind of...
Dan Patrick explains it pretty well.
He says that we love the chaos that occurs in the early rounds where the "name schools" get a good scare thrown into them or even get upset.
But end of the day, most folks want to see the "name schools" in the final 4 and title game.
Can't really have both though. Big upsets take those top teams out of play.
No cinderellas is bad, but having the best teams all facing off in the late rounds is good, and the elite 8 games have been mostly good ones.1v2
1v2

Lovely tourney they got this year

The committee crushed it this year for sure, they got the top seeds exactly right

Sure but also factor in NIL. Don’t a lot of mid majors lose talent to the top programs? Not really arguing with what you are saying…
But just because there are upsets and all the high seeds don’t advance that does not mean the committee got it wrong.
1 and done with kids. Best teams don’t always advance.
Seeding is a reflection of what teams have done before the tournament starts. Not a prediction of what teams will do once they get there.
