I thought the swamp was supposed to pick back up once the season started? It was gonna be the place to talk hockey. It's pretty cool to see that we were the people who made that board, and without us it's gone to shit (even more than before). Just like we all knew it would.

I still find it funny that pix became a member of this Shangri-La in January of 2010 and kept it under wraps.

I still remember the first night when everyone started coming over. I think I had made a Predators GNT or something. I kept checking back to see if anyone was posting, but there was no one here on the hockey board, and like only 3 other people had ever posted here. It was safe to say this place was DEAD. The Hot Chicks Forum got more action than this place. Then I remember seeing a new poster, dare...and him making the NHL General refugee thread. And then BOOM! In a night or two, it's a Hoping SportsHoopla Hockey Mecca!

Dare (I think it was dare?) invited me originally and I sauntered over, but it was quite literally dead. D-E-D, dead. So I didn't push anything, because with y'all it was bearable. But when a few of the big guns got wind of the action I knew it could work. That was such a funny day...we were all so excited. Well, at least I was. I was sending out invites left and right. I'm pretty sure some people got about half a dozen invites.
