Mirtle: Bergevin said his first phone call today was to Randy Cunneyworth to tell him to he would be back as an assistant coach.
But the new head coach will have the ultimate say over who the assistants will be. Pretty clear not Cunneyworth as head coach.

He was, but was replaced by Kirk Muller last season. You don't see it happen very often, but Montreal with their language requirement is a special situation.
