Smith is going to the Dolphins and Manning will go to the Niners. Smith wouldn't sign for the Dolphins for the same money he could get in SF, unless he knew Manning was going to sign. He has the insider info - Same agency.

Just different guys on Twitter. "Sources" have Tennessee and Denver both ahead of SF.

The fact that nobody knew SF worked out Manning until 3-4 days later and that Manning had a 4th surgery that nobody found out about until many months later says Manning and his people are great at keeping secrets. There are no real "sources", only speculation.

Except for Brian Patteriona - He's the best insider ever.

Yup, this is pretty much the only thing that makes sense.

The only other thing I can think of is with Flynn signing in Seattle, outside of Cleveland who looks to be going after a 1st round QB, there are no other teams in need of a QB. It is possible that Smith wasn't going to risk not having a job next season if Manning did decide to sign in SF.

That said, Miami signing Smith is perplexing. He's average at best and really isn't a longterm solution for anyone.

Nobody else wants the job. Not sure why Miami is having such a hard time getting people these days. They've had back luck with recruiting coaches and now quarterbacks.

Steelers safety Ryan Clark delivered a shot at the Dolphins organization Sunday night after quarterback Matt Flynn became the latest free agent to sign elsewhere.

Responding to a previous tweet that claimed no one wants to sign with the team, Clark posted on Twitter: "No one! To believe I almost went there but it was easy decision not to."

Two years ago, Clark considered playing for the Dolphins and even visited Miami before re-signing with the Steelers. When someone accused Clark of a "low blow" last night, Clark responded again via Twitter: "It's my honest opinion. Not a good guy making decisions."

It would seem that Clark is referring to Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland.

The subject got started Sunday night when Clark, who went to LSU, congratulated Matt Flynn on his new deal. Flynn signed with the Seattle Seahawks after talking with the Dolphins.

Hensley's slant: While some will just pass this off as Clark being outspoken again, he wouldn't be the first player to criticize Ireland. During this year's Super Bowl, former Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder insisted he wouldn't play for Ireland again, saying "he's not a good person." Crowder brought up Ireland's pre-draft incident with Dez Bryant where he asked the wide receiver if his mother was a prostitute.

I haven't heard anywhere that Smith has signed in Miami, so he'll probably be headed back to SF now.

YOU WERE WRONG!!!!!!!

HA HA HA HA HA!!!!

just had to get that out of my system.
I had no idea either.

Tebow, we knew thee well, thanks for visiting all the sick kids in the hospital, now go and be you, dance with the stars, fulfill your speaking engagements, go to the Philippines and start another church. Many of us love you, one of those people just happens NOT to be John Elway.

Actually, I was 33.333% right.

I knew he'd go to 1 of those 3 teams.
