Well, in all fairness, that did happen last year -- in OT to a team that then went to NE and beat the Pats before winning the SB. Gives those who root against PFM something to hang their hats on, at least for now.

Well, I don't expect your team will be running into my Colts this postseason. :laugh3:

Well, despite losing a tough game at Cincinnati yesterday and all of Indy's injuries, the Denver win over TN did clinch the AFCS for your guys. :suds:

And who knows how things play out before the playoffs begin? No one, of course. For example, when the playoffs began last year, was there even one Ravens homer who honestly thought that his team would win the SB?

Ding, Ding, Ding! We have a winner!

And how old was Brady when he did 50 tds?? And... how old is Peyton now ?? But... Just want to thank you again for Welker, even with concussions and missing some time he puts up 10 Touchdowns and 75 catches in 11 games played for HIM this season ... BB not the same as he used to be !

His 2004 was better. He had 4 more TD passes that year despite having 42 fewer pass attempts and 35 more yards. His TD% in '04 was 9.9%. His Y/A was 9.2 (10.2 adjusted Y/A).

His 04 is still the best season I've seen from a QB.

Your team is more complete this year and Peyton has most of his arm strength back. It could happen that you get knocked out, but your team is the likely favorite.

As to my lads, people see that Reggie Wayne is gone and no one but Hilton can catch the ball with any reliability. That clown we got from Oakland has a ball allergy. But it goes a lot deeper than that as I have been saying all along. Our best TE went down in the preseason. Toler may not be everyone's favorite, but without him our secondary is toast. And starting the "Twin Turnstiles" McGlynn and Reitz means Luck has to wrestle his way out of the grasp of defenders to throw the ball more than half the time. Not much of a recipe for playoff prowess.

I think they are both overrated.

Brady won his rings, from a good coach and great defenses.

Manning is a regular season champ, that chokes when it counts, and whose only ring came against Rex Grossman.

Neither of them could hold Elway's, or Montana's, or Jim Kelly's, etc. jockstrap.

Not to mention, inflated stats, as the game caters to them now.

Aw, da Bares will be relevant again one day. Still like them. Watched The Kansas Comet and Sweetness as a kid. I even remember the great Bobby Douglas at quarterback and part time statue.

Definitely agree about Manning's arm strength and that Denver is more complete than last year, though our tendency to give up too many points is worrisome.

I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to have Heyward-Bey on your team. He could be such an asset if he could simply make routine catches consistently. The loss of Duane Allen early in the season was clearly a big loss. He looked very promising last year. Much better blocker than Fleener and a very physical runner.

Ghey. And has nothing to do with what I said.

Sure it does. But this board is for venting, among other things.

Manning and Brady will be remembered as two all time greats. Beyond dispute. I am sad for Jim Kelly though. He may be the greatest player this side of Fran Tarkington never to get his just due.

Game has changed so much since then. Not really sure that it's a valid comparison.

And your criticism of Brady seems applicable to Montana. Same with your criticism of Manning applying to Elway, until his team won back-to-back SBs.

Exactly why they couldn't hold their jocks. Ya. Montana was surrounded by a great team, but still played when the game wasn't catered to QBs. It was a tougher game, and they excelled at it. It's just my opinion. No need to get any jimmies rustled;-)

Bullshit. Montana did not play for an organization that turned over coaches and players like the Pats have had to do throughout Brady's career. I saw a stat that Amendola was the 50th receiver to catch a TD pass from Brady. Give Brady 12 straight years with Jerry Rice and I believe that. minimally, he could hold Joe's jockstrap.

Almost reads like a back-handed swipe at Tom.

You were doing Ok till you threw Jim Kelly;s name in Mix. I went to 3 of those SB's only close one was when Scott Norwood shanked a FG to give fatass Parcells a

Joe Montana and Ray Lewis said that Brady was GOAT. ARod said it was Manning. I say Montana then Brady. Rodgers has the potential to be right there
