What a douche that he won't take $10 million per. Let somebody else pay him $15 if that's what he's wanting. We have other priorities, and quite frankly he didn't show enough for long enough to justify that kind of deal......just my opinion.

I agree that it's probably best to let Jackson go. Don't underestimate, however, what a force he's been. That is the reason that another team will pay him so much. His spot on the defense, if he does in fact leave, is a big hole that the team needs to fill.

Just looking at their roster, I think Von and Brock will cause more than a couple starters to have to find new homes. And if they want something more than bargain basement O-line patches ( I would for Brock), then it will be tough on the guys on that D (Ware, Trevaithan, Marshall, Malik) throw in re-sign/replace RB's, WR depth... I like some of the backups on D, but they will most likely have to step up this upcoming season.

And I wonder if he or his agent knows they can't really use it on him or they lose it as a bargaining tool for Brock and Von (ie. this might be a bit less guaranteed than you will get in FA, but we could slap the tag on you and your guarantee is half that amount).

I'd probably focus on Trevathan. 40tackles/5sacks/yr (even though there is more to him) is not worth nearly that much, pay for sacks, pay for cover corners, pay for leadership. All the respect for Malik and no reason to demonize him, just say thanks man for the good play, all the best.

The contract offered by the Broncos is more than fair for a 3-4 DE.

The NFLPLA wants Malik to move the bar but to do so he will have to go to a crappy team and play 4-3 DT.
