I read something the other day that stated he had "put his hands on Steve Belichick" and that's why he didn't play against the Eagles.

If that's true, he won't be back.

Wow.

That's one I had not heard. If true, yeah. Nor should he.

I respect Butler more now. That Joe Dirt looking kid looks like he needs to be straightened out anyways, this nepotism is getting out of hand. I heard on the radio that Pete's sons who are coaches under him, act like they own the team, and rubs off the wrong way on players

has looked pretty terrible this year for the Titans. He faces his former team this week. I/we will always be thankful for his big play on that Sunday...but look at the ratings/rankings:

Malcolm Butler | Tennessee Titans RCB | NFL and PFF stats | Pro Football Focus
PFF lists him as "average".

These Malcolm Butler stats might help explain his Super Bowl benching

From this summer

While many of course would have liked to see him play in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles, 2017 was a tough year for Butler. Among all cornerbacks, he regressed slightly, finishing with a 79.2 overall grade, ranking 51st being ranking fifth in 2016 and 18th in 2015. He also gave up six touchdowns in his coverage, tying for third-most at the position, while also yielding the 11th-most yards at 698 and ranking 108th in yards after the catch at 233.

Malcolm Butler statistically worst corner in NFL so far, so maybe Belichick was right

Maybe Bill knew something all of us couch guys didnt? I can see now based on the above why he may have sat in the SB loss.

That blows up the drunk, late crap.

If what Brier says is true, the Malcolm had a problem worse than drinking or not being on time. He'd lost the trust of the coaching staff because he couldn't handle being the third donut on the table.

I'm sure he'll write a book and it will be totally counter to what Brier writes.

I know Breer can be a bit of a tool sometimes, but I've never thought of him as overly sensationalist.

I still don't know how Belichick couldn't trust Butler since he had absolutely nothing to lose with how that game was going.
