While many of course would have liked to see him play in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles, 2017 was a tough year for Butler. Among all cornerbacks, he regressed slightly, finishing with a 79.2 overall grade, ranking 51st being ranking fifth in 2016 and 18th in 2015. He also gave up six touchdowns in his coverage, tying for third-most at the position, while also yielding the 11th-most yards at 698 and ranking 108th in yards after the catch at 233.

BB and TB may try and expose him? But' I'd be careful Brady hasn't been very accurate down the field this year. I see receivers coming back to get the ball quite a bit more then in years past. That fits Butlers game perfectly considering he's always trailing the receiver.

Also BB seems to struggle against former coaches of his. Not sure if he tries to out-think himself or what but it always seems to be a painful game when NE clearly should've walked away with it.

However, having said that I'd love to see Butler get abused.

This is true he could have a very good game against Tom for the exact reason you said... Brady just tries to outdo his former coaches and it backfires on him

The last name Russel Wilson needs to be floating around as he looks for a new deal is Butler.

It is amazing how when you look at all the lists out there for the worst Super Bowl fails ..that interception
is not on the 5 or so that I looked at.

An interception on the 1 yard line ....in the Super Bowl. It should be on every fail list.

I read something the other day that stated he had "put his hands on Steve Belichick" and that's why he didn't play against the Eagles.

If that's true, he won't be back.
