My guess, he smelled like a fucking skunk when he showed up late and the coaches were waiting for him when he missed bed check/curfew.
His bawling during the national anthem suggests some level of culpability. We may never know what he did...
No Butler - but plenty of Bademosi/Richards instead in nickel/dime. Not only did he get demoted one spot - he dropped off the defensive roster entirely.
He did something.
The DBs may not be to blame but they certainly didn't help either. None of us can know if Butler would've made a difference or not? He had been getting beat like a drum all year. The DBs didn't blow coverages they just couldn't stay with the receivers and make a play. No difference as I see it Butler, Rowe or Bademosi all were a step or two slow all season. Butler is the better tackler so that may have helped? Who knows maybe Butler would've missed a tackle? Many don't know shit about football beyond statistics.

Eagles assistant: 'Crazy' that Patriots benched Malcolm Butler for Eric Rowe
The Eagles had already made it an emphasis to go after Rowe in nickel - with Butler's absence and Rowe elevated to #2 it made it so much easier easier for them.
Bottom line Butler did something to have BB sit him for the entire game. If people want to be pissed, be pissed at Butler.
He was weeping for all the black people who were wrongly shot by law enforcement.
Not according to BB. Not disciplinary.
Assume.....
Brady thinks he's aces.
Butler should've taken your advice.I prefer to put it on Belichick.
Super Bowl is not the time to fuck about.
Of course Hank - this is a sports discussion board, we read the tea leaves, assume .... and where there's smoke (Butler completely falling off the defensive roster during the Superbowl) there's usually fire.
Belichick and Brady will be complimentary in the press always have, always will. Dirty laundry stays in house - this isn't the Steelers.
Butler should've taken your advice.
