If the Giants lose once OR the White Sox win once, the Sox are "out". They play the Angles tomorrow then the Indians.

If the Giants lose once AND the Phillies win once, or the Giants lose twice or the Phillies win twice, the Phillies are "out". They play the Mets.

The Tigers are a half game back, and are going to face the Royals tomorrow and the Twins this weekend. Sigh

There is a college pitcher who seems to be getting the most mentions, but nothing to the Price/Harper/Strasburg level.

I want the top pick so we have the extra $$. Being able to throw a few extra bucks at a 7th round flyer can make a whole draft.

Tigers could win both games and Giants go 1-1 and we still get the pick. But that feels unlikely. The Padres have looked terrible recently and the Giants will definitely be playing inspired baseball.

And the Tigers are blatantly tanking, with a solid .179 winning percentage this month and a .231 winning percentage since August 5th.

At this point, the chances that we get the top pick are so slim, I am hoping f9rr a Cain win a series well. But it might actually be more appropriate for him to get Cained.

The Giants will pick, at worst, 3rd. But that would require the Giants to win today and tomorrow, and the Phils to lose today and tomorrow.
