My reaction to that is, how the times have changed! In 1987 if you told Magic and the Showtime team that they were to lose every remaining game, they'd all quit and hole up at the Playboy mansion.

Its crazy that Magic and a lot of people in the media, don't realize that the Lakers wouldn't have a 10th-14th pick. That pick would go to the Nuns. The Lakers pick is only top 5 protected.

Magic really needs to stfu when it comes to the Lakers anymore. I can't remember the last time he opened his mouth and something stupid/detrimental to the franchise didn't fall out.

I understand that he is speaking from an owner/FO perspective, but there's a reason that no owner or FO ever acknowledges that their team is tanking even when it's obvious. It's not something that you ever want your coaches and players to hear or buy into.

And to hear that Magic has ownership in the Dodgers. When did that happen?

Yep, love the guy, he's not only my all-time favorite Laker, he's my all-time favorite player from any sport. But he needs to just stick to telling stories about the Showtime era and shaking hands at public appearances.
