old news............. nobody was offering rg3 a chance to play qb

thats why he chose baylor he could play qb and at the time we had colt and (what was a top ranked recruit in gilbert)

and as for johnny...who knows if he would be good in macks new offense that would keep him in the pocket and handing off mostly

ps.....where was OU during these recruiting processes...these guys are so awesome OU had to be all over them right

RG3, a former KU recruit, now a program-changer for Baylor | CJOnline.com

Griffin was hopelessly raw, having spent his childhood on a military base in Japan, and nobody knew how his athleticism would translate to college football. Most schools saw him as a wide receiver or a safety, but the big fella from Kansas made a promise. There would be no position change if Griffin signed with KU.

Problem was, Mark Mangino already had a quarterback.

Baylor coach Art Briles was known as an offensive innovator at Houston, and Griffin saw an immediate fit when Briles made his recruiting pitch. Wanting to stay close to his parents, Griffin committed to the Cougars in September of his senior year, then followed Briles to Baylor after the Bears fired Guy Morriss.

(rg3 was going to houston then followed briles to baylor)

so where was stoops on this sleeper of a talent
