Game Thread: Los Angles Rams at Denver Broncos

I like Vance but I don’t think he is “ready”, at least not for this team. This team needs an Alpha type personality, where we just don’t have that in the locker room. We were blessed to have guys like Manning, and Ware put there stamp on the locker room and fill any voids from the coaching staff. Someone stated Cowher in another thread, that’s the type this team needs.

And to further my point, Elway needs to step back. He’s trying to be the Alpha in every facet, and that just don’t work. He needs to get back in his lane. He put this team back on track when we needed it, but he is overstepping. He’s made some serious miscalculations starting with Re-signing talent, and his never ending quest to find Manning’s replacement. He was masterful in getting Manning to choose us, but he has been abysmal with Osweiler, Lynch, And now probably Case.

Everyone knows that Elway's drafting has been poor until this year. Elway nailed the 2018 draft and was great in free agency in our Super Bowl years. Keep that focus on the personnel side (with Kubiak influence) and get a really good coach. Then leave the coach alone to do his job.

Vance has hinted at changes. Here are some things that I think could help:
1. Move Brock and Jones to a share of the #2 CB position and move Roby back to #3.
2. Walker had a good camp but has bee inactive. Maybe time to give him some a chance.
3. Move Jewel to the starting ILB and let Davis and Marshall share the other ILB spot.
4. More of a even split between DT/Sanders and Sutton/Hamilton on the field.
5. More 2 TE or 1 TE and Janovich sets.

We still need creative aggressive play calling.

I like a lot of your suggestions! Also consider sitting Bolles and figuring out another option until he learns more discipline. Run the ball and stay committed to it. With Jano in the game our yards per run goes from 4.1 to 6.2 per carry. So.....more Jano. Sua Cravens...this is your only shot (next week). Sutton gets more targets than DT in a game or two. Learn how to flip the field through the punting game.

Did he ever play RT at any point? I could've sworn when he was drafted there was talk that he would fit better as a RT because he had experience there. Or maybe that was just people talking and I took it the wrong way.

Any chance the Broncos have in this one centers on the ground game combined with Joe Woods calling a game like he did the first 3 quarters against the Chiefs. My expectations from Woods are pretty low at this point but I guess I can hope for the best.

Careful what you wish for. Teams from So. Cal love playing in snow because they rarely get to and Colo isn't like Buffalo cold either. Expect Rams to have a ball Sunday.
