Game Thread: Los Angles Rams at Denver Broncos

This looks to be a complete mismatch. The Rams are rolling and Denver seems to be lost in all 3 phases, especially today. This game might be ugly from a Broncos fan to watch. The Rams offense can be scary good both running and passing the ball. Not sure we can do enough to keep them under 30, and we have yet to put 30 up.

VJ will not be fired after the Rams game as we play on Thursday Night in Arizona. Now after Arizona it is possible or after the Texans game, going int the bye week.

Barring a huge turn around I think VJ will be relieved of his duties at some point.

I see the rationale but honestly a short week isn’t a compelling reason to dispense with an ineffective coach. If they haven’t fired him by now we’re stuck with him another week, but if the Rams come in and blast the Broncos he’s gotta go, short week or not!

Firing your head coach on a short week is really puts the players in a tough spot, and not in the best interest of the organization.

Do you really think making a change at head coach is going to all this team to be competitive? Will firing the head coach make the defense tackle better? Cover better?

We fire VJ when we give up on the season.

I disagree. At 2-3 there’s still an outside shot at salvaging the season. You fire the HC now in hopes of doing that. Of course like I already said, after the Rams come to town this team will be 2-4 and halfway to replicating last year’s 8 game skid. While I see your point about the players executing, this coach clearly does not have the ability to rally this team to respond to losses. A culture of losing is settling in and the longer they wait to fire the coach the harder it’ll be to root it out.

broncos have a chance to win.... cupp and cooks may be out with concussions... the vaunted defense is a sham without talib... the LB core has got to be the worst in the league, oh and did i mention Peters has given up more tds alone than the rest of the defense.... They really don't. Rams score 20+ points and this game is over.

Offense is as bad as last years and defense is getting worse. I was amazed at the Keenum love. Had 1 good season with vikings and a lot of bad ones elsewhere and we were suppose to get excited? There is a reason QBs bounce from team to team. Defense seems scared. They can't tackle and can't cover. Von Miller sits on the sidelines as much as he actually plays and I rarely hear Chubb's name get called. Bolles only move at stopping the pass rush involves a holding penalty. DT gets paid a lot of money to watch balls fly through his hands. This team is lackluster all around even if the talent is there is seems the will isn't.

I'll be happy if the team actually cares about playing this week. 3/4 of team was MIA against the Jets. Rams are beat team right now its a tall order. I think losing culture already has hit our roster it seems. We need a new vision fresh ideas at Dove Valley. I think the lack of Mr B being around has become huge.

well, obviously the Broncos are underdogs in this one but i would give them a 25% chance of winning it ... i think they could beat the Rams 1 out of 4 chances on their home field .... it's not impossible.

My gut tells me the defense plays for Wade Phillips this week more than Vance Joseph.
