This I don't like. The guy should be a capable rotation/depth/low-level starter guy at a reasonable price. Now we're counting on drafting a DT starter or signing someone else.

I still think they could sign him later on. After reading the article closely, the headline's a bit misleading. Meinke is really just saying that the team hasn't contacted him yet. But neither has any other team. There's probably no rush on him.

He was very good against the run. Not liking him gone.

Must be a rumor we are not hearing yet on someone else.

I think this could very well be that Caldwell is an uptight bible thumping bitch and didn't like Mosley's issue in London. Remember that was a team suspension and how many of those has the entire league seen over the last decade? Not that many.

At least we're going to find out very fast how good Caruan Reid and our 2015 DT draft pick(whoever it may be) are. Sink or swim, fellas.

The total lack of involvement in FA by the Lions is a huge concern.

Ngata was a trade but I expected the Lions to make a run at 2-3 players that were FA. The second tier guys are going and yet the only visitors have been Langford and Blalock. I was hoping for a CB, O-Lineman, and 1-2 DTs.

It's as if the Lions didn't have cap space. I expected this much involvement if they had resigned Suh. The rest of the division gets better and Detroit seems to think FA starts next week.

I hope the incident in London isn't the reason. He stepped in for Fairley and we hardly lost anything. I'd like to see him back.

I wouldn't read too much into this. I read somewhere that the Lions talked to his agent at the combine but hasn't talked to him lately. My guess is they'll take him back at the right price and after he doesn't get a good enough deal in free agency then he may be back. I have a feeling they're a little bent that he embarrassed then in London. The same might be said for Fairley. He didn't like the Lions offer and the talks ended but he hasn't signed with anyone yet so it's possible that no one has given him a better offer than the Lions so he may come crawling back. At the end of the day they won't be signing another high priced DT so they kind of have to let things thin out and see who's left standing and who's CHEAP!

Caldwell has chiefed him some greenery. I'd stake my joint on it.

3 of the Lions 5 losses came after Fairley was injured. He was a huge part of this defense who'll be sorely missed.

He had one sack, 14 tackles, and one FF through 8 games. If he stayed on pace it would have resulted in 2 sacks and 28 tackles and 2 FF's. Pretty sure the lack of Fairley had nothing to do with the losses.

Mosley ended with 26 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 1 FF all while being the starter for 7 games and being a rotational player for 8.

Mosley ended w .5 sacks (classic Mosely piling on). He got 2 in week 2 in that blowout loss to Carolina.

Good riddance. Wanna be Suh.

I think the Lions are moving away from any player with off field problems.
