The NFL is an old boys club and who do you think they'd REALLY back? Dollars to donuts, it would be Stan. There are 32 owners in the NFL and Disney isn't one of them...

I don't think so a lot of the owners have made it known they're not thrilled with stans plan. Including Jerry Richardson owner of the Panthers who said yesterday if the Rams have a viable stadium plan in St. Louis (and they certainly do) they won't be moving. That would be going against the NFL guidelines for relocation. He is on the six man LA committee.

Of course Richardson would say that, he's afraid of a guy like Kroenke becoming one of the most powerful guys in the NFL... As soon as Kroenke moves to LA, the value of his franchise triples(fact)...Meaning, he goes from one of the smaller voices at the NFL meetings to one of the most powerful overnight...

Correct LTR. No matter what everyone else is clamoring about, Kroneke isn't sticking around St Louis for a number of reasons one of which is that his team will triple in value no matter who doesn't attend in LA.

Rams currently have more fans in LA then St.Louis, that is the reality of the situation. What Disney does has no relevant impact on what Kroenke does, he "suppose to need" the votes to move. But the reality is the NFL can't stop him. For him moving to LA is a great investment, mostly when you have a stadium ready to start construction next month, he owns the land, owns the stadium, and the team and without the public putting one nickel forward.btw when it happens the NFL will tripping over themselves trying to get out new LA Rams gear as fast as possible.

Umm any team that moved to LA we will triple in value. The Chargers the Raiders or the Rams. That's why they have the NFL guidelines on relocation in place. That's what Richerson was talking about if the Rams have a viable plan you can't just get up and leave. an owner can't move just to get more money!! If that was the case you would have teams moving constantly. It's not up to Stan it's up to the NFL owners if he moves or not. And you're right a lot of the owners don't want to Stan to move just to get richer and that's a problem for Stan.

LA has more Ram fans then St. Louis? How do you figure that? I know the Raiders have more fans in LA then the Rams. And yes the NFL can stop him. they can fine him $500,000 a day. And Bob Iger owner of Disney joining forces with the Carson project does matter big time. He has more money than Stan and is tied in with the NFL owners. He will be able to show a better plan in a better area of LA then what Stan has to offer. Not to mention the NFL would solve the problem of two NFL teams that need new stadiums not just one. The bottom line is it makes no sense for the Rams to move out of St. Louis when we have a new stadium plan in place and you have two teams in San Diego and Oakland that are playing in 50-year-old stadiums.

LOL at the NFL stopping him. Just ask the Raiders how that worked for the NFL the last time.

It's not all about a stadium plan when relocating; it's also about fan support. The Raiders have plenty of support in Oakland. The Rams have been near the bottom in home attendance for a decade, and that includes the fans that travel to support the road team and often overwhelm the Rams fans present.

NFL guidelines huh? Call me crazy, but didn't the NFL reject our move to St. Louis? Pretty sure they did. Guess what? we moved anyway after Georgia F threatened to sue them.

Also, teams don't just get up and leave because there are VERY few places they could relocate to. How many cities without teams could support an NFL franchise? That's what makes LA so valuable.

The guidelines that are in place now did not exist when the Rams moved here from LA. So if the NFL rewards Oakland and San Diego the stadium in LA where do you think stan is going to move them to?? There's not going to be three teams in LA

And again if the NFL rewards San Diego and Oakland the rights to build a stadium in LA where is Stan going to move too? And I don't want to hear about the attendance it would be no different in any other city. This is been one of the worst franchises in the last 12 years in sports history. it's amazing anybody comes to the games. Look at the Lakers... they were good forever and they've been bad the last two years and they had to reduced ticket prices by 75% and people still aren't coming. Just two years.

If Stan pays the proposed billion dollar "relocation fee", he will be moving the Rams to LA. As always, it will come down to money. Will San Diego and Oakland be able to come up with that much? Its beyond just building a billion dollar stadium, they need an extra billion to pay off the NFL...

It's not that simple. But to answer your question Bob Iger is worth 50b Stan is worth 8b. So what do you think? You guys have been banking on Stan having so much money he can do whatever he wants. Well there's a lot bigger dog that just came to the party.

 Bob Iger is NOT worth 50 billion dollars!!! He's worth about 100 mil...Look it up!!! In other words, he's not in the same league as Stan, not even close...

Second, Iger is NOT an owner of an NFL team and if anyone is going to get the benefit of the doubt, its one of their own(Stan). Bigger dog? now THAT'S funny!!!

Whoa whoa whoa! Where are you getting your numbers? Bob Iger is Disney's CEO. He isn't worth $50B; NOT EVEN CLOSE. $50B would make Iger worth more than Warren Buffett. Iger isn't even a BILLIONAIRE. Kroenke is worth many many TIMES more than Iger.

Yeah my bad that was Disney's revenue last year. They said Iger would be a Minority shareholder with the Raiders. So he would be part owner. How much money he has doesn't matter. The NFL is going to go with the best plan to make LA a success this time. And solving two NFL team Stadium problems along with the Iger building a state of the art stadium is a no Brainer if you ask me. Oh yeah and st. Louis has a stadium plan in place.

How is Iger going to build a state of the art stadium? That would cost at least two billion dollars. And again, where are the Raiders and Chargers going to come up with at least 500 million each to pay the "Relocation fee" and the money to build this multi-billion dollar stadium? Stan can build the stadium, and pay the fee without flinching.

So in the end, yes the money does matter more than you seem to want to admit. Can't pay the fee and build a stadium? can't move the teams.

Do you really think the Raiders and the Chargers would be in this discussion still if they couldn't afford to do this? I believe the relocation fee is more of a deterrent to teams to move then set in stone. the NFL will work with them.

Yes, people talk and propose things all the time. But when it comes down to actually getting them done...Oops, there's a snag. Do you know how many proposals there were to try to keep the NY Islanders here on Long Island? Guess what? They play in Brooklyn now...

Someone will be moving to the LA market. Could be one team or two teams. The only way its not the Rams would be if St. Louis comes up with a real plan to build a top tier stadium with a real plan to finance it.

Anyone hear that Kroenke's stadium plan will interfere with radar/air space? I heard that just wanted to see if anyone else heard it.
