LOL...true, they will probably win those two, but they still gotta tango for 60 mins...at some point around week 12-15 they could be looking for a second wind and that's their gauntlet...the last 6 games, 5 of the 6 are probably going to be vying to a playoff spot, and maybe one fairly talented team (ATL) season gone bad will be looking to knock off a contender.

The next two games will measuring stick for the 9ers since they are both quality opponents.

If they go 2-0 in the next two they'll likely be playoff bound since they would likely just have to go at least 5-6 the rest of the way to get in.

I'd still be happy if they go 1-1 and are competitive in their loss.

Now if the lose the next two than the pretender label is probably apt for them.

For me I think the team is capable of making the playoffs this season but I don't think they are a threat in the NFC until next year. I'd say they are one of those teams that you wouldn't want to face in the playoffs since they have the lineup that could give teams issues.

THF would work if there were sets of teams that played every Thursday instead of Sunday. Then after a bye, the Sunday and Thursday teams could switch days.

But, I don't see a big market for 3-4 NFL Thursday games...

I and most people I know don't finish with work early enough to catch the kickoff on Thursday night or stay up late enough to see the end of the game.
