There is a reason that you put a bunch of guys up on the line of scrimmage.........it's to give the QB at least 3 seconds to do something with the ball.

He didn't have 1.5 seconds on any of those sacks.

We are pussified up front. It all starts from inside and works its way outward. That is where we must start building if we ever want to be dominant on offense again. Start from the inside.

Slow, pussy, lazy, noodle-armed, fat slobs is what we have.

Did you notice how many times Rexy had his runs cut short because of the slobs standing around watching the action instead of creating the action? Fuck I swear #61 had as many tackles as anyone on the Cocks defense.

Were you looking for an argument?

No, I was looking to make a statement. Just read through that garbage of a thread that you all call the game thread, and damn near everyone thinks Taylor is just unaware in the pocket.

Get a fuckin clue. Play the position and then talk.

It seems like ages ago when the Husker linemen had steel chiseled arms, and the speed of a fullback. And that was when pancakes were served all game lomg. Now our linemen are shaped like that purple barney guy.

Yeah, I know that.

I will reiterate this tho. When Martinez does get out of the backfield his running is timid and hesitant.

He needs to be going north/south with very little resistance to have success.

I do agree. And to be honest, Martinez running style just isn't as effective as a lot of people would like to make it sound. He is 0% shifty, 100% Forrest Gump. All he can do is run.

Now, a guy like Tommie Frazier wasn't as fast as Taylor, but he could make people miss in the open field..........and because of that, he was able to pick up big yards after initial contact........and was way more effective as a running QB.

Folks, we are fucked.

And a guy like Frost wasn't as fast as Taylor, but wore on defenses.

Well, we SHOULD have fucking won that game today. It was obvious to me who was the better team today in the 1st half...........but things didn't exactly go our way...........a hail mary here, and a huge fumble there, and a blocked xp here with a return for 2 points there, and suddenly instead of being up 2 TDs at half, we're down 3 points.

We weren't able to recover from all of those unfortunate events, and that is squarely on the shoulders of the head coach.

You left off the INT, but that pretty much sums it up. Nebraska continues to stand in it's own way.

Martinez was not the problem today. He played a good game, not a great game but a good game except for the delay of games and false starts. These though just point to an undisciplined team.
The O-Line breakdowns point to an undisciplined team and you could even say the dropped passes.

I do agree that Martinez is not a runner anymore though. Since he got hurt his running has steadily gone downhill. Where before he would run before making his checks now he is hesitant to run. Of course knowing your on your own and have to make your own blocks may be a large part of that. Burkhead only gets yards because he says fuck it, I'll make my own holes. And I agree #61 needs to lose his scholarship. Every time I saw him he was standing when a block would of given us a few more yards on a run.

To me this game was a fitting end to a disappointing season and was exactly what I expected.

To those that bally-hooed me for suggesting 9 wins to be a disappointment, congratulations on your 9 win season.
