good thing I notice the subtleties. :p It was a pretty good tilt, wasn't until the replay (as in your vid) that I saw that slightly-less-than-sportsmanlike start to it.
I always notice the guys who take their lids off when they fight, to me it shows a respect. "The code" says that if one does it, you both do it. Corollary to the code is that you don't land the first shot when the other guy's hands are busy unbuckling his chin-strap.
I chuckled when I saw it, but it's another piece of the PK puzzle.

I respect your opinion and I have seen plenty of players remove their helmets before a fight but I have seen plenty of fights with helmets and shields on too. Its PK 3rd fight against an opponent he may have never played against before and he got the first punch in. Does it look like Lupul was taking off his helmet to me? Yeah. Does that necessarily mean I think PK cheap shotted him? No. Oh well no big deal.

I am surprised CBC didnt claim PK jumped in front of Boyce's slapper.

Good night for Price and really everyone played decently I thought.

Well its a story on TSN so I guess most view it differently than I do.

I understand hitting a player when it looks like he may be taking off his helmet is against a code in the NHL (though I still am not sure that was purposely done) but isn't there a code against hitting players once they are knocked to the ice and isn't there a code against sending tough guys after non fighters? I saw both of those happen this week, some more than once and in different games, without a mention at all on TSN.

Maybe they missed it.
