You think because you see Alabama and LSU not scoring against one another's defense that they have bad offenses despite both of them scoring 40 or more points in nearly every single game?

I seriously don't understand this logic.

Brantley threw for 190 yds against Bama in the limited amount of time he played.

Lee and Jefferson combined for 91 yds.

Does that mean anything? Probably not. UF still lost.

But if Brantley of all people can throw like that on Bama and LSU can't?

this

heck even Kawaun Jakes, Bobby Rainey and the fighting Western Kentucky Hilltoppers

will probably manage to score a first half touchdown against LSU.

Hell guys, teams show up differently on different Saturdays. It's pretty tough to really compare 1 game to another game and come to conclusions.

Michigan State beat Wisconsin and then Nebraska destroyed Michigan State 2 weeks later.........................so Nebraska > Wisconsin.........................oh wait, 48-17....fergot about that

Do you think LSU is as focused and scouting WKU as they were bama?

you know the whole reason I've been making fun of this is how I'm sure the exact same Bama fans said two years ago when we played TCU, said we both weren't very good because we played a low scoring game, now look who had the low scoring game :D

I agree and disagree with this. I do think game plans change based on opponent, and some teams match up better/worse than others.

But
-four interceptions
-four missed field goals
-13 penalties
-one fumble
-one botched punt return
-and zero touchdowns does not equal good offense/special teams.

A punter shouldn't be the best player on the field

I don't care if the two teams had the two best defenses ever(which they don't), a combined 15 points is a pretty embarrassing showcase of offense.

I think a lot more goes into players getting up for games than what people realize. Half of the damn players out on the field are 19 years old......it's tough to make them give a fuck when they're playing a shitty opponent.

Wut?

Are you saying the defenses were super fired up? Then why not the offenses?

Rep as soon as I reset. If you were to read the stats champy posted not knowing the teams involved one would think the team was poorly prepared and sloppy

I think a good defense performing at its best always beats a good offense performing at its best.

Probably.

But these aren't good offenses. Hell, Bama put 6 pts up on LSU. Florida with all its offensive struggles scored nearly double that.

lol

idk....honestly it's all based on opinion. I would like to see LSU play Oklahoma State just to see what happens when a defense filled with future NFL players faces a high-powered offense.

But I am not going to be uspet if Okie State loses to OU and Alabama jumps in to the Title game.
