Northern Eagle
Hangin' With The Homeboys
From the sounds of it, Jerruh is willing to pay Dak $30M/year to play QB. Good luck with that.
Cooper wants to be the highest paid WR in the league, and the 'Girls may have pigeon-holed themselves into a spot where they have no choice to pay him, because they gave up a 1st round pick to get him in the first place, not wanting to make that look like a wasted move. Cooper is good, but he isn't great.
Byron Jones is an UFA after this year, and is going to want top money. At some point Jaylon Smith an emerging player is going to have to get paid. They've already locked up Lawrence to big money and he needs surgery on his shoulder before the start of the year.
Ironically, their best player, Zeke, is the one who may get the short end of the stick; and Dak has shown he can't be a functioning NFL QB consistently enough without Zeke to bail him out to make their offense look good.
After they're done paying all their top guys, there will nothing left for any depth...
Perennial 8-8 team.
How 'bout them Cowboys?
