When you mention the bubble title and then say not long season, what’s the relevance? People put an asterisk on the bubble team becaide they did not play with the travel or the opponent crowds that make a playoff game hard.

When you’re talking about a long season, now that players rest, no longer means anything. I used to think that old titles were worth more because everyone was playing and it was a determination of who was still tough after long season. When player started resting, I thought whatever. But that wouldn’t be a reason why bubble teams are asterisked as players are now resting.

And I'd add that players were resting before the bubble season.

Also, it's not like the team that won had some special advantage. Teams played the same number of games, in the same venue under the same rules. There was no homecourt advantage for anyone.

You could make a case that the bubble title was more difficult because none of the traditional advantages like HCA were available.
