Fucking sucks.

I mean, it's just strange more than anything.

Unless you're pissed for personal reasons about it though, and don't like viewing on Thursdays as much as Sundays. It's really not that devastating for the Bears themselves. It really evens out.

They play one road Thursday game in Detroit. Which is obviously a disadvantage. However, Detroit hasn't been great on Thanksgiving lately anyway, it's a close trek, and IMO... I kind of think we'll just be the better team. Purely speculation, obviously.

Then, we play Dallas, who will also be playing their second consecutive Thursday game. It will basically be a regular week of practice for both teams. We also get them on a long travel up north in December, just like last winter when we pounded them in the frigid cold.

Then… it actually works in our favor. We play New Orleans on a Monday Night. Giving us almost a second bye week. It's funky… but it doesn't put us at a disadvantage in the end. It kind of evens out.

I think the worst point of this new schedule is they have expanded flex and included weeks 5-10 now. I cant see how people want to buy tickets for an afternoon game and end up having to go at night.

Glad they got back with detroit and thanksgiving, that was tradition we have lost being stuck with dallas for what seems to be the last decade.

it's actually advantageous. We play Detroit when they have same amount of rest, Dallas when they have same amount of rest, then that long layoff until Nola at home is almost a quasi-bye late in the season, close to the playoffs, exactly when their bodies need it the most. I'm sure the players will be grateful.

Mis spoke.....2 out of three at home......damn it

I can understand how upset at yourself you are right now, breaking your otherwise flawless streak of perfection. We have standards around here, we expect them to be lived up to.

Agreed. When I first read it, I thought we went to NO. Playing that at home, along with then playing the next game vs Detroit at home is a gift. We'll be home for a month straight after Thanksgiving. The 27th of November through the 27th of December, when we'll travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings on the 28th.

Agreed. More football to watch, and for me… being a fantasy football nerd. I get watch all of my players play.

I think we have more prime time games than anyone else in the league.

I think so too. It's six, if you include Thanksgiving.

It also surpasses the 2006 Bears who played the most primetime games in franchise history with five.

The less games on FOX, the better. Their announcers suck.
Just can't figure how fox got the NE game.:gaah: Should have been on CBS.

I am guessing you don't like cliches but don't mind factual errors and nonsense:

Hey, whatever. Announcers are pure taste. The ones I hate the most are Simms (CBS), Dierdorf (CBS), and Aikman (Fox). Your mileage may vary. And week to week, mine does too.

Brenneman (I'm baseball guy ,what the fuck am I doing football for, oh yeah a pay check),Billic (I can't remember names) , the brother of the NBA announcer ( forget their names but can hardly tolerate either's voice). Yeah I guess it is pure taste. I use to be a gym rat playing Basketball in my youth. It was my love then. But I can't watch a Bulls game, because of their announcers. And my mother's name was Funk.
Just think the Fox guys suck. JMO.
