Ogletree was the best? Clearly you did not watch the game and are just trolling because of the argument tp and Jay fan had.

Well, nobody really stood out. That was my point.

Broyles stood out for me.

That would suck for some people here if he actaully plays and produces. One less crybaby factor to bitch about.

I was bitching about our secondary playing off, not being aggressive and needing to be on those receivers. Apparently they are no longer allowed. These new rules are going to make for some high scoring games.

The bad part is it will be a judgement call on Refs part. It will change the outcomes of games this year on calls and non calls.
You dang well know some crews will call more than others.

Back-ups. Suh and Fairley were in for one series, Jason Jones, all three LBs and the secondary were in for two series. Then it was a rotation of pretty much everyone from then on. Some of the scrubs got in during the last 5 minutes, but Manziel was done by then. He played against a combo of 2nd and 3rd string guys overall.

Years? They scored 1 TD and that came at the end of the 4th quarter.

That's because Orlovsky QBed for 3 quarters. We moved the ball with ease with Staff and Moore. Dan O had a terrible night.

There were 2 wr drops. One by ogletree and one by Peacock. Most of the other wr misses were orvlosky. Ogletree looked bad, but Peacock had a good game otherwise. Broyles was the best wr, followed by Peacock, fuller Durham then ogletree.

We're gonna need a new MLB soon. Good ones aren't easy to find. Still kinda wish they had taken Lil Animal instead of Delmas.

Tulloch is not a very good cover guy, but he makes a ton of tackles. I agree though we may need a new one in 2 or 3 years if we keep running a 4-3. If we convert then it will extend his career a few years.

I thought the Lions 2nd string played well against the Browns 1st.

Durham's route running looked much better. He doesn't look as clumsy.

The one thing that stood out to me was the Lions didn't have many penalties.

Tully actually isn't bad at all in coverage. He receives positive grades in that area every year from PFF. He doesn't have the height and length to be a real difference maker in the passing game, but he's at least adequate in coverage. Couple that with his ability to rush the passer a bit and he's a good option as a 3rd down backer.

I'm getting tired of these miracle finishes. The Lions should have put them away in the 3rd quarter.

With Orlovsky under center they wont be putting anyone away. I really thought he would be a little better in this offense like in Indy. So far not so. I am hoping either he gets better or we bring in someone else. Moore is already number 2 unless Dan O picks it up in the next few weeks.

If Moore looks this good again next week then he deserves to leap-frog Dan-O for week 3 to see how he does against the other team's twos. If he does well there he should get the start in week four, assuming Stafford isn't playing (which is generally the case in that last week).

Drew Brees is a short guy without a particularly strong arm as well, so maybe this offense will work out well for Moore? I'm not saying he's Drew Brees, not by a long shot; I'm just saying that this offense that's built on timing and spreading the defense, might be a good fit for a cerebral QB like him...
