The 2nd dubious hands to the face call did end the game...but it's not as if GB wasn't very likely to win even without the call. A 38 yard FG with 1:40 remaining. Unlikely Det shows enough life to go down and kick a FG.

Like I said, not impossible...but only about a 20% chance of getting into FG range based on how their offense was playing and the time remaining.

They punted 4 times and scored 6 times, so with 1:30 left the chances are better than 20%. With that much time left, needing only a FG, the clock isn't even that much of a factor.

Of course the clock is an issue with no timeouts. Without the threat of a ground game, it is much easier to defend.

They didn't have a ground game all night and they scored 6 times. 1:30 is plenty of time to go 40 yards, which is all they would have needed.
