I don't like making excuses and I can accept loss (I've been a Lions fan for 61+ years), but I have gotten use to this. I think the worst one was the pass interference call (with Dallas in the playoff) that was called, announced, spotted and then reversed ... relay show pass interference was proper.

Stafford has done it many times before and Prater is good from 60. Even a minute is plenty of time. It wasn't as obviously game-changing as the 1st bad hands to the face. But it's hardly a longshot for the Lions to go 40 yards in a minute+ and kick the winner.

Like I said, not impossible...but only about a 20% chance of getting into FG range based on how their offense was playing and the time remaining.

What will NFL say after those 2 obviously not penalties, after further review ... from all angles there is no HTTF.

And there was another penalty that should not have been called... Detroit Lion DB going for the pick and he get's a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty... An embarrassing night for the NFL...

Sometimes you get plain unlucky with the officials. It's happened to every team. You control what you can control. If you keep kicking FG's instead of scoring TD's, then close, frustrating losses can happen.

Go by yards per game. MVS is clearly producing more than him. Go by snaps played. MVS is clearly playing more than him.
