I merely posted this link as it's now the 2nd or 3rd time recently that I've seen Chauncey Gardner-Johnson mocked in the 1st round. He has some previous experience as a boundary CB but was still young and learning. At that time his recognition skills/tackling abilities/footwork weren't very good but he has improved every year since his frosh season.

Nice little soundbite. I know Devin White is rated way higher on most boards but I like Devin Bush a tiny bit more. Maybe cause I saw a few Michigan games last year and he was all over the field. I didn't watch much LSU football last year.

The more I delved into looking at the two comparatively, I'll agree with you on Bush over White.

I wouldn't draft either of them unless I got a trade down into early twenty something of 1st round.

Same here. But I would be OK only trading back a few spots and doing it. Neither will last to 20.

Philadelphia Eagles 7-Round Mock Draft | The Draft Network

Round 2, Pick No. 57: Blake Cashman, LB, Minnesota
The top of round two might be a tad early for Cashman, but the rest of this linebacker class is so mediocre that unless you get Devin White or Devin Bush in the first round or Blake Cashman somewhere on Day 2, you might as well not even draft one expecting them to be a major contributor.

Cashman is smaller than ideal for a starting linebacker at 6-foot-1, 235 pounds, but his speed and his instincts make him an alluring prospect, regardless. The Eagles should give him a shot.

BB_72; This is simply ludicrous thinking that Cashman is a 2nd round prospect but when you have a shitty class for LB in general and even more so for chase LB it might possibly happen but still difficult to wrap my head around that. I feel the same way towards the WR class in that it's so weak that you'll see WR's drafted earlier than in previous years where the class was much better.

I do not expect White to make it out of the top 10 but in reality he has too damn many deficiencies to be a legitimate top 10 LB outside of this being a shitty class of LB this year. The same probably bodes for Bush as I could see a team desperate enough to draft him because he's the best one left as it a massive drop-off from either Devin to the next LB (more than likely Mack Wilson)

I'll probably never be on board with spending this 1st on a LB from this class, but if we did Bush or even Wilson would at least be solid starters. White is throwing the pick away.

Rock should be higher and David Long is definitely top 10 in this weak class

I would really hope that if we draft White that he wouldn't be a bust. I think he would be solid on the weakside where he could run and chase with that 4.4 speed. I watched a couple tapes of him and it looked like he was also pretty good at timing blitzes as well. I am sure "Mr. Pencil" would be able to put him in some places to make plays.

I don't know anything about him so I'm going to go to you-tube and watch 2-3 full games of the 2017/2018 regular season against power 5 teams. I just saw the link today.

Why watch full games when we can just watch the highlights. It's the only sure fire way to know if a prospect is any good.

He could very well end up being one of those 7th round picks rather than hoping you can get him as an UDFA.

I doubt it. Not is he is meeting with 8-10 teams and multiple private workouts. More like 5th-6th round range.

This class looks ultra weak at CB. I am sure that maybe 3-4 of these guys will probably end up being starters for some teams but none of them look particularly like lockdown material.

It says that their 2nd rounder is Dexter Lawrence. I would be more than happy if that dude fell to us in the 2nd round. It would give us an insurance policy if Snacks play starts to slip.

I mean guys that don't understand/care about their defensive assignments have had "success" in the past look at Polamalu there are plenty of Steelers fans that think he's HOF worthy even though he probably caused more harm than good as a Steeler. I'm not saying White can't learn to play his position properly, but it'll probably take at least a couple years and thats a luxury BQ and MP can't afford.

On this list Rock should've been in the 6 spot and Jackson/Layne have no business being placed in the top 10. imo.

Layne is there because of height/weight/length and nothing more. Hell, Houston's Isaiah Johnson is better than Layne and has the better physical traits. He's not listed and rightfully so.

Long is easily the better prospect over Jackson and I don't care for him either. Long had a great combine workout but those agility scores don't match up what his on-field skillset showcase.

I would think many aren't fans of Love being at 5 but I am.

The more I look at this class the more I favor Oruwariye.

I love the athleticism White displays but he repeatedly will tackle at the clavicle area. not joking. When you go back and really watch his games and that's not going to work at the NFL level. He only has 2 true years of playing LB so there is a possibility that he can actually learn how to correctly play the position but I'm not counting on it when an immature kid talks about being a 100 million dollar man in 4-5 years. He needs to drop his damn ego and begin to learn to become an NFL LB first.

He doesn't offer much in the pass rush dept at this time and may never but he's a space eating/gap plugging monster that has some serious athletic ability. Usually players like him see a drastic drop come the real draft versus all the media type boosting a players stock like they have with Lawrence. He doesn't have the production in sacks/qb hits/qb pressures to be seriously contending for a draft slot in the first two rounds. True NT like Lawrence aren't normally highly sought after.

Hot rumor is Lions trading back to 14 w Atlanta who will take Ed Oliver at 8. My guess is the Lions then take either an OL or CB at 14.

He should be there for us in round 2 if we want him. Round 3 might be chancing it though
