I have zero clue what the Lions will do in the draft, but I have to imagine it'll be D-Line/LBER core related. That said, their TE/WR situation is suspect as well. Fortunately for the Lions the draft is quite deep as it relates do front 7 D and TE, so they should be able to replace some pieces. Part of me also wants to think they should just move on from Stafford and draft any QB available at 8 (partly because I feel Stafford will never be relevant in the postseason) and call it a day.

Point of me posting in this thread, I'm curious to see what Detroit does... they are somewhat of a wildcard in this years draft. Unless they draft a kicker/punter with their 8th overall selection, I don't think I'll really be shocked what they do... or know how to grade it for that matter.

His drop rate looks alarming at first glance but when you consider 2/3s of his passes are deep balls it makes sense. Deep balls are much easier to drop. It also depends on what this service considers a drop versus a defended pass or errant throw. Balls just off the fingertips or 1 hand could be considered drops but I would not hold that against anyone.

I like this guy too. Problem is that he looks like a 20-40 range guy and the Lions pick 8th and 43rd. we would have to get incredibly lucky for him to fall to 43rd.

I dont think we would even use the 43 on him. We need a starting WLB and CB2. As of now I cant see us going any other way unless a player who should go very early drops to us at 43 or unless we make anothe FA pickup. Although I think we have 1 more decent move left. Thinking D Dennard to plug in at CB2 for a couple years.

Never know where these guys have people ranked until the aftermath. Or even if they are going to draft a need like you mentioned or go BPA strategy. To be quite honest. I don't think most of the GM's even know who they will draft until it's their pick. Humans can be emotional and just make gut decision picks at the last moment. I remember a story where Millen was dead set on taking Demarcus Ware and somebody talked him into Mike Williams at the last second.
