Here are the most productive pass rushers on 3rd down among ACC edge defenders this season. Pass rush productivity measures pressure created on a per snap basis with weighting towards sacks.

another reason why you stay away from Ferrell as an edge rusher and a top 15 overall pick. He does meet the criteria of MP as a contain and seal the edge player but not at the price of 1st round.

Ferrell is the player who I think will fall come draft day when in comparison to where he's "alleged to de drafted at this time".

Omenihu is the type of player that fits MP's scheme and maybe value. I don't believe he'll test really well in the 40 and 3-cone which may mean he lasts until latter 1/3rd of 2nd round and quite possibly very early 3rd round but I would think Hoodie would jump at the chance to draft Omenihu late in 2nd round.

After getting injured in the first game of the season versus FSU in 2017 he missed the next 10 games due to a biceps tear but came back for the Iron-Bowl game and the semi-final and NCG.

He tweaked his hamstring in 2018 against Oklahoma and therefore missed the NCG but this kid has so much potential as an edge rusher (not being a Bama homer either). If he lasts until our 4th or especially until our 5th round (due to injury and limited play) he's an easy selection in my opinion.

I've been on this train for quite some time and pride-of-Detroit has an article regarding him today.

Christian Miller is the pass rusher the Lions need

It’s no secret that the Detroit Lions need pass rushers badly. The big question is how they will address that area of need. If they haven’t gotten a big name edge rusher by the time the draft rolls around and they address a different position with the eighth overall pick, I don’t think Lions fans should panic. There will be plenty of very good EDGE prospects available on Day 2, including one that I’ve come across recently that I believe is severely underrated. Alabama EDGE Christian Miller.

Overview and Projection
If you ask me, Christian Miller is being severely underrated and I believe his stock is only going to rise from here. He shows very few weaknesses on tape, but the lack of game experience is concerning. Still, for a player that hasn’t played a ton of snaps throughout his collegiate career, he looks so far advanced from a technical standpoint compared to where you’d expect him to be.

Miller is at his best when rushing the passer and has a wide array of moves that he can beat you with. He has good burst with sufficient dip/bend to turn the corner, but he can also set those up and beat you inside if he catches you sleeping. Against the run, Miller is no slouch and his discipline and dominance at the point of attack leads me to believe that Patricia will love this kid for his scheme.

It’s also worth noting that Miller has had some experience working with current Lions defensive line coach Bo Davis during his tenure at Alabama.

At his current size, I believe Miller is best suited to play in a stand-up edge rushing role for the Lions, much like Devon Kennard was asked to do last year. I see Miller as a late-Day 1, early Day-2 talent. If the Lions can get him anywhere on Day 2 of the draft they would be getting an immediate contributor at one of their biggest areas of need.

Christian Miller

Strengths
  • Has good burst with long strides that allow him to consistently get hip-to-hip with tackles by his third step and win on the outside.
  • Sufficient dip and bend with decent ankle flexion. Does a solid job of turning the corner on speed rushes.
  • Displays heavy hands and will destroy TEs if you’re foolish enough to put one on him. Does a nice job with one-arm extension to drive blockers deep into the pocket.
  • Very disciplined vs. the run. Controls well at the point of attack and disengages cleanly at the right moment to consistently make a play on the ball carrier. Always under control with his body and exhibits good twitch and lateral agility in the open field.
  • Has a variety of moves that he can beat you with as a pass rusher. His club move appears to be his go-to, but can beat you in many other ways. Technique is very advanced for someone that lacks game experience.
  • Good athlete and should test well enough. Great closing speed when closing the gaps on QBs and RBs.
  • High IQ player with good mental processing; shoots the right gaps and is always there to make a play. Always has a plan when rushing the passer.
Weaknesses
  • Unexperienced resume and didn’t really get much of a chance to play until his senior season. Only played about half the teams snaps defensively as a RS senior.
  • Suffered multiple injuries during his last two years including torn biceps and hamstring injury.
  • Physicality sometimes inconsistent. Can sometimes mistake being disciplined for over-hesitating. Would like to see him attack more against the run.

3 2019 NFL Draft Prospects That Deserve More Buzz - The Draft Network

Joe Giles-Harris, LB, Duke
I am not crazy about the 2019 crop of linebackers but Giles-Harris is being slept on. Among the most productive defensive playmakers in the ACC, Giles-Harris racked up 313 tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks across his final three seasons in Durham.

Giles-Harris is arguably the best processor in the class at linebacker. He quickly and accurately diagnoses plays while taking excellent angles to the football. He is also a standout finisher who does well to square up, wrap up and bring his feet through contact. I love how he flows to the football, mirroring the running back but also not getting sucked in too far and guarding against cutback lanes. He is extremely gap-savvy.

He doesn’t feature elite range and athletic ability, but his mental processing and tackling skills are tremendous. He is a superb shallow zone defender that sharply reads the backfield and works into throwing lanes while taking good angles to cut off running backs slipping out of the backfield.

A team in need of a MIKE linebacker should snatch him up on Day Two and prosper.

Russell Brown @RussNFLDraft

Joe Giles-Harris (LB #44) for Duke makes a great read on this WR screen. His eyes are always in the backfield & he's always reading the OL, RB and QB. He has the highest grade for Duke players this year from PFF (91.0). I'm quite the fan & like the way he operates in space.

2019 Combine Preview: Cornerback

BYRON MURPHY

School: Washington

Ht/Wt: 5-11, 180

Best trait: Ball hawk. In 13 starts this past season, he collected 58 tackles and led the team with four interceptions (one returned for a touchdown) and deflected 13 passes. Murphy made plays on 31 percent of his targeted throws over two years, and posted seven interceptions and 20 pass breakups in just 87 career targets, per NFL.com stats.

Concern: Where does he play? He might be too small and lack the speed to play on the outside. His 40 time at the Combine will be an important test for him.

Skinny: Murphy has a high football IQ, and proved to be a playmaker and ballhawk at Washington. He might be better in the slot, but there was no denying his playmaking ability in college.

If we took Devin White in the first and Byron Murphy in the 2nd. That would go a long way to making this a championship caliber squad.
