I'm sure this will be JUST as popular with Dallas Cowboy fans as news that Dallas has signed another former Boise State players but the guy they SHOULD hire as their new O.C. is already employed by the Cowboys - as their QB coach. Namely Kellen Moore.

Carmichael would be a good OC.

How such a mediocre coach like Linehan has lasted as long as he has in this league is incredible.

Good Grief Charlie Brown!

Moore might someday be a quality HC or OC but he has a long way to go to get to that position. He got the position as Linehans golden boy and did not earn it. The kid is smart but he needs lots of seasoning before even being considered anything more than TFNG.

"I'll always respect Jason as a coach, and I consider him a good friend. I'll miss my fellow coaches and my players a great deal. But life is about change and growth, and I very much look forward to my next challenge."

I would have thought this was a joke but I see the Boise team on your profile so I'll assume it's serious. Kellen Moore was over his head as a QB coach and should never have been given that position. It was hard to find any word (written or spoken) of him doing anything specific or really even at all to help Dak whatsoever and even during games when they would speak it seemed more teammates talking than teaching. If Dallas names him OC it will be an absolutely ridiculous move. He needs to be a backup QB coach and learn his craft before even doing that again (like Columbo). I think he has potential to be an NFL coach, but he is just not ready IMO.

I'll be LOLing pretty hard if they fire Linehan only to hire the guy who only has a job because he was Linehan's pet project.

LOL, this is an actual for those facepalming me.

He's apparently in the conversation per many sources. Just curious if anybody heard differently.
I think he is a real option. Much better than Kellen Moore at least. I had read a while back that they were high on him and clearly his group took a step forward and it's reasonable to think he played a role in that

He just made sense as an in house hire given his previous OC work at the college level. I assume Linehan also had something to do with Nussmeier being in Dallas but Nuss wasn't groomed as a coach by Linehan like Moore was.

I wouldn’t say Moore was groomed by Linehan

Eh, maybe the wrong choice of words. Moore has worked under Linehan since they were both in Detroit. Nussmeier was coaching elsewhere during that time. That's all I meant.

Idk why they're reportey going with Kitna as QB coach and Moore as OC. The other way around makes more sense.
