I learned yesterday that my youngest son will need to begin chemotherapy on Monday. He is an Iraqi war vet who has been rated at 90% disabled due to his injuries in battle. Last year he was diagnosed and treated for testicular cancer. Recent blood tests have shown "markers" and the doctors want to get a jump on beating it back.
He has been working on getting his life together so he could be a positive influence on his newborn baby girl, which he has seen only once since her birth in January. He seems to be in good spirits, but has hidden his feelings on everything since returning home from Iraq.
That's all.
