IR him until week 12.
Let DJ Foster play the first 8 games and Dion Lewis play the last 11?
Patriots may get help from Foster . . . but not the one you think
Never heard of him. Any good?
He was used as a receiver last year because of need. He is a running back but should be used all over the field.Let's hope this transfers to the NFL... But on paper looks really good

As another offensive weapon, he should be trouble for the defense in the right matchups.
He won't replace Dion Lewis (except by injury) He may jump over some other RB candidates. Camp will tell!
PS Eligible!!!!!Just wonder if he slips at all at camp if BB will cut him
PS Eligible!!!!!
Practice squad eligible. That is how Chris Harper "made the team"

I am calling it now...Foster over White will be the surprise move. If Blount or Lewis start on PUP, then we will see both White/Foster on this team. However, expect in the end Blount, Lewis, Brown, Foster, Bolden to be the core group.
Foster has speed and tons of it. Lots of talk that he would turn a lot of Whites plays into TD because of it. From what I remember, AZ threw the ball a ton and he was very effective in both roles...Basically, he is DLew 2.0 and insurance/replacement for injury or next yr...I said it before, Foster will make this team...
That would not qualify as a surprise. White has to show marked improvement to stay on this team.
DJ Foster and Joey Iosefa have more upside than White IMHO.
Thanks Ken as always great reporting from your couch, lol. Wow you've had a rough run in the health department lately. Good luck to you. Heal fast. I'm off to South East Asia for two weeks just letting you because I rely on your fine reporting sillz.I've been off my feet since this past Wednesday. (Put a rock through my foot about 6 weeks ago and it won't heal properly if I walk on it). Sitting on the couch I channel surf pretty much all day.
Thursday afternoon a very short piece came up on CSNNE showing Dion Lewis in pads running at a Patriots practice. Hardly anything more. Yesterday afternoon on NESN there was more footage. About 1 minute of Lewis running short passing routes at full speed and cutting really hard. He wasn't doing this with other players, he was doing it off to the side with several coaches, but the rest of the team was practicing behind him. Again, not much being said other than he looks very strong and very fast. Watching him practice "I" think he looks a bit more buff.
This morning a saw a strip of film and they said that he's being evaluated for immediate return, but the feeling is that he'll be kept out until the last minute and then he'll be activated. When he is activated, the question is "who gets cut?" Concensus is that Brandon Bolden might be IR'd for the remainder of the season because of a nagging hamstring and the team really doesn't need him for a RB position and Mingo has done a superior job taking his spot on Special Teams.
Best guess is that Lewis will be back after the Bye Week.
