I never realized those rappers actually paid for the rights to all the songs they ripped off. I just figured they threatened them and shit.

I actually looked it up, and Ice never gave him credits or royalties until the song blew up, and then he did lol. Vanilla Ice isn't exactly someone I would think of to threaten anyone; though, fun fact, world renowned asshole Suge Knight did threaten Ice by cornering him on a balcony and telling him he would throw him off if he didn't give Knight royalties for a song Ice ripped off. That's how Suge Knight started Death Row Records, which had 2Pac, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg in the mid-90's. He's now awaiting trial somewhere for murdering someone (allegedly, wink-wink)
