Pretty much; when Brady has sucked in the playoffs, the Pats still win.
One has a 10+ game sample which are all W's, the other, is 1.And when Brady throws for 505 yards they can still lose a Super Bowl. So what's your point?
This, I always label Peyton as the smartest qb I've ever seen play. There were stronger arms, more accurate arms, and more athletic qbs. But no one seemed to dissect the defense in the 25 seconds before the snap better than Peyton.I'm not sure I would describe Peyton Manning as one of the best pure passers. His strength was his knowledge of the game, ability to read/deceive defenses, audibles at the LOS, getting the ball out quickly and putting it in the exact right spot every time. He drilled with his WR corp over and over and over to perfect their timing.
He never had a strong arm and here in Denver toward the end of his career, there were plenty of wobbly ducks. Guys like Marino and Elway fit the pure passer definition better for me.
