Let's assume that Salvador and Langenbrunner (due to the Colorado "rumor) get dealt. What's the team to look like after last round cuts?

Parise-Zajac-Kovalchuk (don't like the eggs in 1 basket idea unless its on PP)
Elias-Arnott-Clarkson
Rolston-Zubrus-Tedenby
Pelley-Josefsen-Palmieri/PL3/Mair/Nilson

Volchenkov-Greene
White-Tallinder
Urbom/Taormina/Corrente/Fraser

Ask me that's about the most upfront talent the Devils have had since 1999-2001, if ever.

well don't expect josefson as anything less than the 3rd line center.


he's been centering a line with zubes as his lw and clark as his rw.
you just don't put a rookie, esp a 19 year old 1st round pick with boatloads of potential.
but as a very intelligent, 2 way player. 3rd line is great for protecting him and giving him ample development playing time.

also don't forger zubes is naturally a wing.


if langs gets traded i think that line will stay the same. and you'll see tedenby end up with elias and arnott. he fits the flow game better than clarkson and rolston and you don't want to have a line with 2 rookies on it.

i'd anticipate something like this

parise-zajac-kovy (i wasn't a huge fan either but they've looked awsome together)

elias-arnott-tedenby (tedenby isn't cut out for a checking line, but would mold great with a flow player like elias)

zubrus-josefson-clarkson (they've played very well together so far as well)

rolston-mair-pelley (rolston has been with these type of players for most of camp. i wouldn't be suprised to see him stay there)

urbom-tallinder (they've been together most of camp and looked excellent)

white- taormina/corrente (whoever wins the job basically)

fraser as the extra.

I think Zubes gets the 2nd line nod over Clarkson. Ideally I would like to split up Parise and Kovy but I'll assume that's what we're going with for now.
