The Mariners get a few wins against Texas and they're talking about playoffs LOL. The M's are 21st in MLB in offense and 27th in pitching. This is not a playoff team.
agreed
pitching needs to get much better
marko gonzales..seems to be the lone bright spot..#17 in mlb stats
kikuchi..is not doing it for me..he may be better out of the bull pen
gravemnan same
(tyjuan was doing well..at 2-2..with a 4.00 era...but they could resign him ...in the off season..or a diff...free agent...they prob need to)

dunn ,shefield and newsome all need more time..at the big league lvl

Was able to catch a little bit of baseball over the weekend and yesterday. I'll say this is as good as I've felt in a while about the direction things are heading. The W/Ls arent always there but there are just some nice things to watch which hasnt been the case in previous years. Yesterday although the 2nd game didnt go well was fun to watch given the comeback in the first game and the amazing catch by Lewis. Hopefully we finally are getting something fun brewing.

“We’ve certainly heard the rumblings,” Dipoto acknowledged. “I guess the simplest way for me to address the timing of it is we have got 11 games left, (and) we understand we are climbing a pretty formidable hill both in our schedule and what that means for our potential to make the playoffs. We have a pretty decorated history as an organization of pushing fast forward (with prospects) when we may have been better off showing a little discipline. And we are going to try to exercise the discipline this time and just play it smart keep the long-term plan in place and make sure we are doing the right thing for the health of the organization.”

Dipoto on Gilber/Kelenik... I can respect and appreciate the fact that they're trying to learn from their past experience as a franchise...

There is zero proof that bringing up guys like Zunino and Ackley hurt their careers vs maybe they were just shitty prospects all along. I really hate that excuse. Olerud was drafted 79th and went straight to the majors and had a very long and accomplished career. So did Winfield. Should they have gone the Edgar path and waited til he qualified for social security before bringing him up?

This was not directed at you but directed at the excuse making Mariners.

I understand and thank you for saying as such and I appreciate you addressing me... I don't take it personally... Poor coaching in the minors and management had a lot to do with Zunino and Ackley but both of these guys also went to other teams and didn't do any better... I'm open to the M's to try something different... Like you, I wish they would bring our two studs up but i'm ok if they want to wait for next year... I'd honestly prefer to see them up the last 10 games because we're not going to the postseason and if we do, it will be one and done... Rather these two get experience...

im not sure bringing ..them up would be a good idea...this year...but gilbert..could be in the rotation...next year..good or bad...imo..it wont hurt him
he will just gain experiance...kelinic..still has a couple more years minors..or at least one

needs most improvment in off season
