According to Mr. Hollis, Mr. Spriggs accidentally bumped into Mr. Donald while they were inside a club called the Boom Boom Room, leading to an argument between the two. They were then asked to leave the location. (There does not appear to be an official business in Pittsburgh listed under the name Boom Boom Room).

While outside, Mr. Donald confronted Mr. Spriggs and began punching him, Mr. Hollis said.

“Regardless of what may have happened in the nightclub, it doesn’t justify this,” Mr. Hollis said.

“He says that male and another ended up punching and kicking him. The complainant admits to throwing a bottle of alcohol, but didn’t know if he had hit anyone.”

Now let's see what the other side says. If the bottle was thrown inside Donald and his friend could be in some trouble. If it was thrown outside it could change things. Trying to decide what will happen now is like calling a contract a bad contract based on the headline. The devil is in the details. I assume we will find out more over the next week or so if there is indeed more to find out

A Pittsburgh attorney said he'll file assault charges against Aaron Donald after an alleged altercation in Pittsburgh.​

Attorney Todd Hollis on Wednesday provided a picture of a man, DeVincent Spriggs, with a severely swollen eye and cuts on his face, and said Donald had assaulted the man in the wee hours of April 11. Spriggs alleges he was assaulted by Donald after accidentally bumping into him, and suffered a concussion, broken arm, and 16 stitches near his eye. The 2020 defensive player of the year has not yet responded to the allegations. The NFL will certainly track the situation.
